Hoppin Grinsell Files Amicus Brief in Fourth Circuit

HG recently filed an amicus brief on behalf of the Due Process Institute and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. The issue: how, and whether, "earned time credits" under the First Step Act can be applied to the sentences of prisoners serving time under both credit-eligible and credit-ineligible convictions.
