Hoppin Grinsell is seeking a full-time junior litigation associate to join us this fall.

Hoppin Grinsell is a New York City-based civil litigation boutique specializing in complex commercial and public interest matters. You will be HG’s third full-time lawyer, so it’s only fair to tell you that the other two are Margot Hoppin and Tim Grinsell. We founded the firm on the beliefs that intellectual agility remains a competitive advantage and that firm culture should be better than good; it should be sustaining. The firm currently handles a broad array of litigation matters in trial and appellate federal, New York, and Delaware courts, and in private arbitration forums. Our caseload is diverse and continually growing.

 As a junior associate at our firm, you will:

• Collaborate directly with both founding partners;
• Work on a diverse array of complex commercial and public interest matters;
• Rapidly develop your legal research, writing, litigation management, client, and courtroom skills;
• Meaningfully contribute to and even shape the firm’s development and growth;
• Develop professionally in a firm that prioritizes integrity, excellence, and team-work;
• Preferably, work in our office in lower Manhattan (part or full time).

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the NY state bar (or pending admission);
• 0-3 years of litigation experience;
• Strong analytical and writing skills;
• Demonstrated abilities to take initiative, self-direct, think creatively, and disagree clearly;  
• Passion for legal theory and practice—both commercial and public interest;
• Personal motivation to grow professionally and to contribute to the firm;
• Commitments to justice and ethical legal practice.
